Daniel Negreanu was part of the big news at the European Poker Tour this week during the poker competition stop in Vienna, Austria. Negreanu, who is a renowned poker player, made it to the final table of the event but he ended in fourth place and took home €175,000. He was trying to complete the Triple Crown of Poker (WSOP, WPT and EPT).

Meanwhile at Foxwoods, Connecticut, there are only 16 players left from the original field of 242 at the World Poker Tour Finals. Jason Mercier, Hoyt Corkins, Sorel Mizzi and Thomas Marchese are still playing in the $10k buy-in event. Although the number of players who enter the event was good, attendance dropped 31% compared to last year.

Antonio Esfandiari, one of the most famous professional poker players in the poker circuit, will apparently appear in a movie. According to sources, the movie will be also starred by Bruce Willis and 50 Cent and poker will be part of the movie theme, although no more details have been revealed.

The €3,200+€300 WPT Amneville main event will start this week in France. The casino competition will take place from 2nd November to 6th November and it will be hosted by the Seven Casino d’Amneville located in north-east France, only 90 minutes from Paris.
