The European Poker Tour Main Event started with a field of 848 poker players and after five days of poker action, only 24 players remained. Sunday was the day in which the final table of nine was decided with David Vamplew, Tom Marchese, Fernando Brito, Per Ummer, Artur Wasek, Kayvan Payman, John Juanda and Kyle Bowker as chip leader with 7,165,000.
Both Juanda and Bower are at the top of the field and way ahead of the rest of the poker players when it comes to chips. American player Chance Kornuth, who was chip leader during Day 3, had a bad day and lost his lead and his chance to be in the final table. So did Chad Brown, Joe Hachem, Steven Levy, Thomas Bichon, Matt Perrins and Allen Bari.
Scottish player David Vamplew is in third place in the chip count, though he has half as many chips as the leaders. Due to the great difference between Juanda and Bower and the players with fewer poker chips, there are good chances those going into the final table with fewer money will be sent home in a short time.
The European Poker Tour UK leg started last week and attracted professional poker players from all over the world, with a record 848 field. The final poker table game will resume today and poker fans will find out who is the winner of this new edition of the European Poker Tour Main Event in the United Kingdom.
