Lundmark wins EPT Barcelona

Swedish poker player Kent Lundmark took the fame and the prize at the EPT Barcelona last week. The player is only 22 years old and he previously finished second at the Nordic Masters of Poker with a prize of $69,911 and 29th at the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure with a prize of $66,000. This time, he took home a €825,000 prize.

After he won, Lundmark said that winning was an amazing feeling. “This is one of the biggest tournaments you can win in poker. I've been running good all tournament, I was very lucky,” the poker player commented. The €5,300 buy-in poker tournament gathered a total of 758 players and was hosted by the Casino Barcelona.

The poker event drew some big poker names and 180 players won their seats at online poker tournaments. In spite of the presence of famous poker players, the final table was filled with new faces in general. The next event of the EPT is the €5,300 EPT Prague and it will take place from 13th December to 18th December.

Jesus Cortes Lizano ended in second place with a prize of €525,000 and Konstantin Puchkov was third with €300,000. Shander de Vries ended in fourth place with €222,000, Giuseppe Pantaleo was fifth with a prize of €170,000 and Thor Stang was sixth with €130,000. Georgios Skotadis and Francesco Notaro were also in the final table of the poker tournament.
