Star-studded poker tournament WPT Celebrity Invitational started last Saturday in Los Angeles. Some of the stars and celebrities showing their poker skills include Don Cheadle, Jennifer Tilly, Donnie Walberg, Jose Canseco and Randy Couture. They have joined professional poker players in the charity tournament that features a prize pool of $200,000.

After Day 1, Linda Johnson is chip leader with only 115 poker players still standing. Johnson holds a stack of 198,100 chips, which is almost double the stack of Phil Laak who is in second place. Johnson is the co-founder of the Tournament Directors Association and has worked for the WPT.

So far, the third place of the chip stack ranking belongs to Barry Greenstein, who won the World Series of Poker bracelet three times. The California professional poker player holds a total of 109,400. During Sunday, the poker field will be narrowed down to just six players who will go the final table of the poker event.

Last year, the WPT Celebrity Invitational was won by LeRon Washington, who beat Sean Urban in the heads-up. The player took home a $100,000 prize and was the best of a field of 564 players. The final table featured Trishelle Cannatella, the “Real World: Las Vegas” star and professional poker player Thor Hansen.
